The El Cortez Hotel and Casino is the longest continuously running hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Opened in 1941, its success attracted Bugsy Siegel, Meyer Lansky, Gus Greenbaum, and Moe Sedway—so much so that the group purchased the El Cortez in 1945.

An arts, culture, music, food event! As the name suggests, this event happens on the first Friday of the month.

A dining, shopping, arts park made of shipping containers. Family friendly until 9 p.m., when it becomes adults only.
10. Chill out at PICNIC
PICNIC at the Downtown Grand is a ’50s style pool and urban rooftop hangout space. Live concerts are often held here at night, making it a great day-to-night locale.
11. See a show at The Smith Center or a baseball game at Cashman Field
If you’ve seen all of the Cirque shows and want to see Broadway instead, visit The Smith Center. Ghost The Musical, Kinky Boots and Wicked are coming to The Smith Center this fall.
